Can Your Smartphone Help You Sell Products?

YES it can! Try using some of the following suggestions to help your customers see the importance of being fully protected.

1. Comparing your Smartphone to a flip phone can illustrate the difference between the car they are trading and the car they are buying. This can be especially helpful if the customer is trading the same make that he is purchasing. (Be sure to have an old flip phone to use for a great visual demonstration).

2. Of course, the Tony Dee Stapler close that uses a Smartphone is one that I have talked about before, but it never loses its effectiveness. If you need information on this, just go to You tube and search “stapler close” to see how he uses a stapler as the engine, transmission and drive train, and a phone to illustrate the complexities of the high tech electronics that even the most basic vehicle is equipped with.

3. Everyone puts insurance on their phone. It’s that same $11 per month charge month after month. What exactly do you get for your outlay? Not a brand new, $0 phone. You get some amount off of another phone and/or a refurbished phone. If you do the math, it’s way more expensive to insure a $800 phone than it is to protect a vehicle.

4. The vehicles being sold today have a lot of equipment on them that is sensitive to extreme temperatures. When your Smartphone gets too hot or cold, you receive a message that it can no longer work until the temperature moderates. Unfortunately, your car doesn’t give you the same courtesy. Imagine the damage that is occurring over the years as the vehicle’s electronics and computers are subjected to weather conditions and temperatures. So when the touchscreen fails or the DVR player that you are counting on to occupy your kids during the 3 hour drive isn’t working, there is no warning and no inexpensive fix. (Credit to Tony Dee)

5. Some of the products that you sell have mobile apps that can be downloaded onto Smartphones. Your customer no longer has to keep track of their paperwork, once download the app and register the product. That’s a time– and aggravation-saving convenience for when something happens and he or she has to make a call to get help.

These are just a few of the ways you can utilize your Smartphone. If you have any other ideas or techniques that work for you, call me... text me...email me...or Facetime me...on your Smart phone!
