Working in a Toyota/Honda dealership that regularly delivers over 200 vehicles each month can be a recipe for burn-out if you aren’t a well-organized person with strong time– and people-management skills. At Washington Auto Mall, they not only have one F&I Manager that possesses those qualities, they have two! Patrick McMahon has been in the F&I position for 10 years. He has been an exceptional F&I Manager in his own right and has such great history in the job and at the store. Patrick has always done a good job working with the salespeople and the customers to get the most for his department and getting the vehicles delivered. When Paul came to the store, over a year ago, he added just the right amount of confidence that, between the two of them, the F&I numbers improved even more. Paul comes to the Auto Mall with over 7 years of F&I experience, most of it at a West Virginia dealership. The one thing he wasn’t prepared for was the amount of paperwork and oversight Pennsylvania requires. He credits Patrick with helping him through that learning curve. Paul considers Patrick a good mentor, and the dealership a good fit for him. Much of their success can be attributed to having the same philosophy in the job—find the products that best fit the customer and their driving needs, present the options to them, and find a way to make the customer comfortable purchasing them. It’s a philosophy that has worked for this F&I duo. Judging by the progress the store has made, it seems that Paul and Patrick together make a great team for Washington Auto Mall. We at Jeram Marketing congratulate them on their success and wish them an even better 2013.
