Spotlight On: Roy Warren—Laurel Nissan in Johnstown, PA

Updated: May 20, 2018

Picture this: You’re a salesperson at an established dealership whose owner has opened a Nissan franchise which hasn’t had a presence in your town for years. You apply for and accept the position of used car manager and become part of a management team that is hiring and training a brand new sales team that is long on enthusiasm but short on experience. As the dealership ramp-up proceeds, you find yourself being cross-trained as a back-up to the finance manager. When the F&I position opens, you accept it full-time and are producing in a short period of time. Just as you’re getting comfortable with the position, the dealership begins a major renovation project that moves your office into the hallway of a sister store. Your desk sits next to the new car manager’s desk with not even a partition to separate it. Yet with all of these obstacles thrown in your way, you manage to provide an across-the-board increase in product penetrations and $/car and maintain it month after month. That’s what Roy Warren has accomplished in a short period of time. There is a phrase that describes Roy’s work ethic: Failure is not an option. Roy just refuses to accept that a customer won’t buy a product and he refuses to accept that he can’t hit the goals that he sets for himself. That mindset has gained him a reputation throughout this large chain of stores as a valuable employee who works hard, yet still helps out wherever he is needed. We at Jeram Marketing congratulate Roy on his achievements as Finance Manager at Laurel Nissan. We are sure he’ll continue to enjoy success and we look forward to following his career.
